It's Time

So, the time has come. I've left my job, and will be doing this full-time, which is scary, but very exciting.

There's a gig on the 30th with My Broken Dream which I'm very much looking forward to, and then there'll be lots of sawdust being made in early 2017. The new sub design got a lot of bass out of a relatively small box, and we've just taken delivery of another set of four 15" drivers. These will be making their way out to Dry Hire gigs with some active tops for a small but potent PA system, or they can all be put together for a total of 8 15" subs, driven with 1KW each. That lot should be capable of 140dB continuous output outdoors, though time and testing will tell.

I'm still deciding on what to do with the 21" sub. I think a large cabinet that's tuned very low might be in order. 125dB at 20Hz outdoors, anyone?

It'd be a specialist cabinet for those demanding the ultimate bass response from a PA speaker, perfect for venues or artists that want to stage events that give their music the true feeling it deserves.
